CARPET HEATING MADE SIMPLE - NO INSTALLATION!

How Does an Under Rug Heater Work?

An under rug heater is a thin, energy-efficient heating pad that fits discreetly beneath your existing area rug.  When plugged in, it gently radiates warmth through the rug’s fibers, creating a heated surface that warms your feet and the surrounding area.

These plug-in heating mats provide radiant warmth, keeping your space evenly and efficiently heated – An ideal carpet heating option and an effortless way to enhance comfort in any room!

How Does an Under Rug Heater Save Electricity?

Ever notice how your feet are the first to feel the chill when temperatures drop? That’s where an under rug heater comes in—it provides targeted warmth where you need it, using less energy than a traditional space heater. But what makes it so efficient?

Direct Heat Transfer

The under carpet heating pads warm the surface they are placed under, meaning the heat goes directly to where it’s needed—your feet and the surrounding area. Unlike space heaters that warm the air (which can easily dissipate), radiant heat is absorbed by your rug and then transferred to you efficiently.  No more waiting for the entire room to warm up!

Lower Wattage, Same Comfort

Most under rug heaters operate at a much lower wattage compared to space heaters. A typical space heater may use 1,500 watts or more, while an under rug heater can use as little as 150–1000 watts, depending on the size. This means you get cozy warmth while using significantly less electricity.

Zoned Heating Saves Money

Because an under rug heater provides targeted warmth exactly where you need it, your thermal comfort improves. This allows you to turn down central heating while still remaining toasty, cutting down on overall energy consumption.

They’re efficient, effective, and make your home feel extra cozy—without any bulky appliances in sight.

Can Furniture Be Placed On Top Of The Heated Rug?

Any furniture on feet or legs is fine.  Chair leg floor protectors may be used for additional protection for your carpet and the heater.  Avoid furniture on wheels or castors, and no pointed or sharp furniture legs.   Additionally, take care not to place anything on the rug that will “smother” the rug heater i.e. filing cabinets, bean bags or mattresses etc. will cause hot spots and overheating.  Do not use without a rug on top.

Can The Rug Heaters Be Used In The Bathroom?

The rug heaters are classified as a portable electrical appliance, and as such should not be used in a bathroom.
